Southside Grinds Coffee Co. is a Black woman-owned Chicago coffee roaster and mobile espresso bar founded to fill caffeination gaps on the South Side. The company sells roasted coffee online and books on-site coffee catering for events across Chicagoland. Founder Ebony Blue—brewed in Brooklyn, seasoned in Woodlawn—built Southside Grinds to merge specialty coffee with South Side community impact. The brand grew from a mobile cart serving nonprofits, agencies, and institutions into a catering operation that has served clients such as the University of Chicago, William & Blair, and NeoCon, with long-term plans for a brick-and-mortar roasting cafe.
