About
Odd Duck is a South Lamar farm-to-table restaurant from the Gilmore group, with roots in a 2009 trailer dedicated to local Austin farm ingredients.
In 2009, brothers Bryce and Dylan Gilmore rehabbed a Fleetwood Mallard trailer into an eatery serving only food with ingredients from local Austin farms, opening that December. The trailer’s success helped elevate Austin’s local food scene; whole-animal cooking and farmers-market sourcing were part of the early mission. Today Odd Duck continues dinner service on South Lamar with a menu featuring Texas farms and River Field Farm vegetables.
