Kikwetu Kenya Coffee Company is a Kenya-born, Chicago-made specialty coffee roaster and café brand sourcing direct-trade Kenyan coffee and tea. The company small-batch roasts in Chicago and sells beans, brewed coffee, tea, and Kenyan pastries through farmers markets, catering, partner locations, and online. Founded in 2014 by Martha and Leecox Itulya-Omollo, Kikwetu draws on Swahili meanings of home and "our way." The couple connects Kenyan coffee heritage with Chicago community life—selling at Green City Market and South Side markets, offering catering, and hosting a recurring Saturday Hyde Park pop-up.
